Early intervention in Staten Island
Big Minds, Tiny Hands provides early intervention to babies and toddlers from birth to age 3 across Staten Island.
Our providers come to your home, your child's daycare, or another everyday setting. For eligible children, services are at no cost to your family.
How to get started in Staten Island
Refer your child
Call 311 and ask for Early Intervention, use the city's online referral portal, or send us a referral. You do not need a doctor's referral.
An evaluation
Two or more professionals evaluate your child to see if they are eligible. Our evaluations take place in your home, and most are finished within a few weeks.
A plan and services
If your child is eligible, you and the team write an Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP). Services begin once they are authorized.
