If you think your child has or may have a developmental delay or disability, early intervention can help. For eligible children, services are at no cost to your family.

Who is eligible?
Your child may be eligible if they live in New York City, are from birth to 3 years old, and either:
- Have a diagnosed physical or mental condition that is likely to cause a developmental delay
- Are suspected of having a developmental delay or disability
What happens next?
Send the form or call us. A staff member will contact you to begin the initial evaluation process.
If your child is found eligible and Big Minds, Tiny Hands is your preferred provider, our therapists will develop a treatment plan. Services begin as soon as they are authorized, at no cost to you.
Early intervention offers therapeutic and support services to eligible infants and toddlers. The New York State Department of Health and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene fund these programs.
